Ask Us Anything!
We’ve pulled some of the most frequently asked questions from our guests and compiled them all into one place. Chances are you’ve got the same questions that were on someone else’s mind. Should you have any other questions that we may have missed, don’t hesitate to reach out.
I work from home, is that ok? Does every room have WiFi? Can I bring my own furniture?
Yes! Denver Coliving hosts remote workers, all rooms have a desk and chair and the house is equipped with high speed internet. Our rooms are furnished but if you are attached to your own desk and chair, mattress or other special item you'd like to bring, we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
How long can I stay? Can my boyfriend/girlfriend come over? Are pets allowed?
Sometimes the perfect match comes along! We love when you love the house and the cohabitants! If this is you, you can stay as long as you like! We totally understand the importance of spending time with loved ones, but to keep Denver Coliving house secure and private for everyone, we ask that you visit your friends or boyfriend or girlfriend at their place, or one of the many nearby meeting spots! We're big animal lovers, too, but to be fair to residents with allergies, we have limited capacity to accommodate pets living in the house with us. Occasionally we are able to accept 1 cat if there is a cat friendly room available, but kitty must stay in your room at all times. We cannot accept dogs, with the exception of service dogs. Thanks for your understanding!
One bathroom!? How do you make that work? Can I cook? What if I come home late at night, will I bother anyone?
Ahh...the sometimes not-so-charming quirks of a 120 year old home...originally designed with just one bathroom upstairs. But don't worry! We understand that sharing one bathroom among residents would be challenging without a few strategies in place to make it work smoothly. Our bathroom is kept clean! Cleaned 5 days a week, and there are always additional cleaning supplies behind the tub for your use. Everyone keeps their towels and personal items in their rooms. We have limited individual bathroom time to 30 minutes. We ask that each time you use the bathroom, that you take a moment to clean up after yourself as a courtesy to the person after you. When the bathroom is not in use, the door is left open for easy access. Each room is well-equipped with good lighting and mirrors to make getting ready in your room a breeze. Our Big Room features a private ensuite bathroom, (and a private entrance!)
You're welcome to cook in our kitchen, complete with a gas stove, toaster oven, and microwave. We ask that you please wipe up any spills, clean up after you cook and do your own dishes as you go.
We understand that residents keep different hours, and while you're free to come and go as you please, we request everyone's cooperation in keeping the security doors locked and the second floor quiet to ensure a peaceful living environment for all.
Are you 420 friendly? What about cigarettes? Why don't you allow alcohol consumption at the house?
Denver Coliving is 420 friendly, but all smoking must happen outdoors. We have a covered veranda perfect for relaxing! Smoking cigarettes is not something we welcome, not on the property or near the neighbors houses either. If you smoke cigarettes you would be more comfortable at a tobacco friendly property. While we may enjoy a glass of wine now and then, we frown on getting drunk or loud around the house, or coming to the house drunk. We value a clean living environment in all aspects.
